How to Get to Barcelona

There are several ways to get to Barcelona, depending on where you’re coming from and what type of transport you prefer. You can choose between the following options:

✈️ By Plane

Probably the best way to get to Barcelona is by plane. The city’s main international airport is Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, which is the second busiest airport in Spain. Many well-known airlines operate there, so finding a flight is usually easy.

🚆 By Train

If you prefer traveling by train, Barcelona is well connected to the rest of Spain and France through high-speed rail routes. You can reach the city using services such as Renfe and AVE.

🚌 By Bus or Ferry

The Barcelona Nord Bus Station offers the most national and international bus connections in the city.

Additionally, Barcelona’s cruise ship harbor features nine passenger terminals — seven for cruise liners and four for ferries.

🚗 By Car

If you like to manage your trip at your own pace, traveling to Barcelona by car is also a great option. The city is well connected, and its extensive motorway and road network makes getting around easy.
